London Gilding
I've worked as an antique restorer and artist gilder for 15 years. I specialise in water and oil gilding, verre eglomise (glass gilding) and decorative painting. I was apprenticed to Rosaria Titian of Titian Studios, and I studied Restoration and Conservation at The London College of Furniture. I love working with antiques and have a passion for using traditional techniques in unusual ways. I also offer individual tuition and classes in all aspects of traditional and contemporary gilding. On this blog are examples of my work. As well as restoring antique giltwood and decorative furniture, I gild technology, shoes, flowers, skin, glass, walls and chocolate. If there's a way to make something more beautiful by using gold leaf, usually I know about it. Exciting and difficult projects are my favourite kind, so if you have a crazy idea to do with gold that no one has ever tried before, contact me!
